Is there a specific number of dhikr for Allahu Zülcelal?

Expressing a request to our Lord by stating it in terms of the numbers of His names and repeating it this many times is like a password for our request, so to speak. These passwords, these keys are in the Qur'an! Different methods that were used while interpreting the verses containing the 99 names of Allah in the Qur'an by the commentators are being reviewed.

These methods that were revised within the understanding of the Ahl al-Sunnah were accepted by all the great scholars and there was no objection to stating them in different numbers. These traditions are determined by the scholars' statements according to the needs of each period by bringing together examples from the Prophet's tradition, the lives of the Companions, and studies on all subsequent verses and hadiths.

The numbers were determined by the statements of the scholars according to the needs of each period, by bringing together examples from the Prophet Muhammad's life, the lives of the companions, and the studies conducted on all the verses and hadiths that followed. May Allah grant us the opportunity to mention Him more and better than these numbers.

How are the numbers of dhikrs determined?

Our Lady Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), once asked for his help and stated that she needed a helper. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised her to recite "Subhanallah" (Glory be to Allah) 33 times, "Alhamdulillah" (Praise be to Allah) 33 times, and "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) 33 times after every prayer. He said that there is no better helper than reciting these phrases. This shows us that each of the noble names and attributes of Allah can serve different functions when recited in their specific counts. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also recommended different remembrances for different purposes and at different counts to his companions, including Ali, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman. The counts of these remembrances, including the Asma ul Husna that we have shared with you, are based on the practices of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the opinions of the scholars who came after him.

Is it a problem to draw the dhikr without following the numbers?

After the passing of Allah's Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, all scholars and saints who came after him would invoke Him with those names whenever they asked for something. Each of them has stated that they obtained results by appealing to their Lord using these names in different numbers. There is a frequency in the substance itself, which is directly related to its creation. When we ask for something from our Lord, we appeal to it by knowing the frequency of the subject we want or need. By using these numbers, we express our gratitude while seeking help from Him. They serve as both a key and a prayer form for the continuation of gratitude in the number of blessings. No matter how much we mention Allah, Zülcelal, it will always be insufficient.

Everything created by Allah, the Almighty, is created through His manifestation. He manifests Himself in matter, and it becomes. When He says "Be" to something, it can come into existence, and its creation, along with the noble names of Allah, is described. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, explained to his companions that the noble names mentioned in the Quran are the names of Allah, and the rewards that come from invoking those names are the means of different things at different times. He also used these noble names in his own prayers, and stated that he prays with these names.
